Belvedere
We have received planning consent for a new house located outside the Exminster development boundary. The design is for an innovative and contemporary new home and includes 4 bedrooms and a linked, living, dining and kitchen. The plan is designed to create a fully accessible layout with large sheltered terraces taking advantage of the amazing views across the landscape towards the river Exe.
The replacement dwelling achieves exceptional sustainability and design standards. It was developed in conjunction with Go Green Engineering to include innovative passive cooling systems, mechanical ventilation, heat recovery (MVHR), air-source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels with battery storage.
The design addresses challenges from the site including the creation of a courtyard sheltered from the prevailing wind and large overhanging roofs to help prevent overheating (particularly important with the introduction of the new Building Regulation standards this month).
