Sustainable Heritage Home, Broadhembury
This home in Broadhembury has been refurbished and extended to create a sustainable family home. The build included adding internal and external wood fibre insulation with lime plaster to improve the breathability. As a traditional Devon longhouse and situated in an AONB, the process involved lengthy discussions with East Devon District Council, as well as ecology surveys for bats and tree protection plans.

We also created a little straw bale annexe near the house, which provides accommodation for guests which you can see by clicking here
