This gorgeous little annexe was our first straw bale build, and created space for visitors and guests to our clients sustainable farm near Broadhembury. The straw bales have been rendered with lime plaster and the building has a lovely verandah where you can sit and watch the world (and the rare breed pigs and chickens) go by! We love the mixture of sustainable, natural materials and the crisp Zinc roof and aluminium windows and doors. The build is naturally cool in summer and snug in winter, needing only a log burner for heating (it is very airtight and well insulated).
