Extension And Alterations To A 19th Century House
In this 19th-century listed house project, we removed an existing bay window and a conservatory that was unattractive, messy and incongruous with the house and garden space. In its place, the house has been completely transformed with a spacious, elegant and stunning new kitchen, living and dining area. This alteration involved re-negotiating the best use of space and light, achieved through bold angles, large glass doors and split-level flooring. This bespoke configuration enhances and celebrates the unique listed aspects of the property, such as an original window joining the kitchen and dining areas, creating a seamless connection between the old and new. These quirky features, angular shapes and split levels facilitate the natural creation of living zones, achieving an intimate feel within an overall exciting and impressive space.
