Retirement Housing and Later Living

We became involved in retirement housing and Later Living developments after coming 2nd in the RIBA McCarthy & Stone Re-imagining Ageing competition.  Our designs challenged concepts around housing for retirement and explored the possibilities for new types of communities and new places to live and you can see our drawings below.

Since being involved with this competition we have gone on to work with McCarthy & Stone, Redrow and other smaller local developers, to create designs for Extra Care projects, retirement villages and apartments.

We continue to integrate the research and learning from working with individual private clients, where we work with many retirees that may be downsizing or looking to build a new home.  This research informs the design of our larger projects where we design from the perspective of the individual who want to continue to live life to the full in contemporary well design environments.
